Pomp And Circumstance

Growing Our Own Grub

Posted in Fashion Files, Food Files, Inspiration, Pomp Day-By-Day by Miss Pomp on July 16, 2012

About 5 weeks ago, husband and I put a few garden beds in the backyard and started growing our own veggies. I can’t even tell you how great it is to just walk in the backyard to get lettuce for salads when it’s time for lunch. AND, check out the last pic below, there is totes a tomato in that photo people. It’s little, but I promise it’s there.

And, this next one is the face I made when the neighbors cats started doing it right on the other side of the fence while I was watering the above-mentioned veggies.

As Soft As A Babies Bottom

Picked up these shorts at Anthropologie a few weeks ago, and boy are they soft!  I was on the fence about buying them as they weren’t the least expensive thing I tried on, and what tipped me over the edge was how incredibly buttery soft they felt to the touch.  I could wear them EVERYDAY just because of how comfy they are 🙂

On a side note, my shoe elf delivered all of the shoes I purchased while in the city a few weeks ago…Pics coming soon!

Seriously? Still Not Warmer than 60 Degrees?

As I mentioned last week, Miss Circumstance and I went for a mini “Monday-Night-Shopathon” and I came home with FOUR silk shirts!  YIKES!  I didn’t realize how excited I was about silk shirts until after we were done shopping. This shirt was one of the lucky-four.  At first I was a little nervous about not knowing what to wear it with, but then I decided there are too many things I love about it:

* Airy silk is perfect for warm summer days

* The flowery pink print is spot on for this season

* I can’t resist a shirt with a swooping hemline in the front and back

Why Not Tower A Bit More?

This weekend, my amazing friend Ashley, otherwise known as my own personal Shoe Fairy, delivered to me not one, not two, but THREE pairs of beautiful Jeffrey Campbell shoes, all of them towering at about 4.5 inches tall. I can’t wait to take all of them out for a spin, but the pair I had been drooling over (and picturing with every outfit I put on ever since the day I first laid eyes on them) had to be de-boxed and worn immediately.

Ladies and gentlemen… The Pixie…

The other two pairs will be unveiled soon!  Stay tuned!
