Christmas Shopping For Yourself
I headed up to the city on Tuesday, and between returns and gift cards was able to get a few things and barely had to pay for it. Holla.
Those last two items from Zara I bought for my mom to give to me for Christmas. That’s how we roll in our family. Usually my mom and my sis pick a day and spend it together picking out our own Christmas presents. It’s pretty much the best thing ever. We have fun spending time together, my moms happy to get us things we actually want, and Miss Pomp and I have fun helping each other pick things out. There’s nothing like a sister to tell you exactly how ridiculous those drop-crotch silk overalls actually look on you.
Gobble Gobble Jive Turkey Gobble
YOU GUYS. On Thanksgiving, we saw a BUNCH of wild turkeys. I’m talking like 20 of ’em, just walkin’ down the street, stopping in each yard, hangin’ out.
What the what?!
Once I started chasing them they didn’t stick around for long, but I’m telling you, it was a Thanksgiving miracle!
(Blouse – Forever 21, Pants – Gap, Jacket – Old, Shoes – Steve Madden, Hat – Old)
I hope I see 20 Santa’s walking down the middle of the street on Christmas… I’d yell “SANTA!!!” like Will Ferrell in Elf.

I never buy fashion magazines. I will for sure flip through them in a book store or while I’m getting my hair done, but my jam is more the Elle Decor’s and Architectural Digest’s of the world. Well I was in a local book store the other day and I had to buy this magazine. Literally. Had to. It was out of my control. I even paid 5 bucks for it! That’s only two dollars less then I paid for my entire years subscription to Elle Decor. It was like they put some magic power in her eyes that made me keep looking at her. There is something so compelling about this picture that I had to own it, not just look at it once in a store. I want to frame it or something. Is that just weird??
Here’s another one-
Just a couple a dudes playing ping-pong. All normal like.
What pictures captivate you?
Gift Wrap Inspiration
Holla all! I know we’re technically not even to Thanksgiving yet, but with all of the presents arriving on our front doorstep and then subsequently clogging up my closet space, I’ve realized that I have to get on wrapping those suckers stat.
Let’s get something straight here. I LOVE wrapping presents. For me, the presentation of a gift is part of the gift itself. I love having something that is not only pretty for me to look at for the few weeks that it sits under our Christmas tree, but also tells the person that gets the gift that thought and love and care were put into it.
I started with this inspiration from Grey Likes Weddings:
I LOVE this color palette, and for one gift I think it’s great. Since I will however be wrapping closer to 100 gifts (Exaggeration? Probably), I wanted a little more variety and kooky-ness, so I put together this little inspiration board:
Love it? Hate it? Think I’m crazy to already be thinking about gift wrap? Comments, people, comments!

Lonny Magazine: November 2012
We here at P&C have a serious love for Lonny Mag. It’s a well documented fact. Evidence here, here, and here.
So we get pretty excited whenever a new issue comes out. In fact, I usually have to go through it a few times, because the first time I am so excited that I just scroll through at super speed to try to get to all the goodness as quick as possible.
All that to say, here are some of my favorites from the new issue…Enjoy!
Perfect outdoor dinner party setup – how perfect would this be for a really intimate wedding?
How awesome are these inspiration boards? Those gilded gold frames are a great way to turn something that could look so chaotic into something so beautiful.
Jenna Lyons’ office – she does everything right.
Perfect amounts of chaos.
Inspiration board in the office of Jack Gerson of Coach.
How awesome are those massive horns? LOVE.

Anthropologie has a great collection titled Made In Kind. In their words, “limited-edition designs created in

Enjoy!
Some of these items are one-of-a-kind, which means they are obviously sold out (“Balls! Balls I say!”), but most can still be found here.
Thirty Days Of Thanksgiving
I started doing this on Instagram last week. I love it. I love that at the end I will have a photo diary to remember, and what I’ve found is that it causes me to stop and be grateful for things I would have overlooked being grateful for.
DAY #1 Grateful For Where I Live.
I live in an amazingly beautiful town, where there happens to be a big-deal of a surfing contest happening (so I hear), and I just get to drive two minutes to check it out. Beauty.
DAY #2 Grateful For Teachers Who Teach My Kids To Read and Write
It’s amazing to watch a human learning such a used-every-minute-of-every-day skill like reading. I love it.
DAY #3 Grateful For 80 Degree Weather In November
Yeah. Went to the beach yesterday. My life is good.
Follow me on Instagram to check out the rest over the month of November. I’m misscircumstance.
